VENUS in the first house

Venus Synastry: 1st House Overlay

Venus energy is loving, artistic, gentle, inspired, creative, beautiful, attractive, flirtatious, jealous, manipulative, charming and refined.
The 1st house is about appearance, behavior, attitude, mannerisms, approach, outlook, exterior, image, persona and personality.

Someone’s Venus falls in your 1st house

two pink rosesWhen someone’s Venus falls in your first house that person probably finds you physically attractive. You are probably this person’s “type.” This is especially true if that person’s Venus is conjunct your ascendant (the more tightly conjunct, the stronger the attraction). The Venus person will like the way you conduct yourself, your behavior, your mannerisms, the way you dress and the way you look. This person will be attracted to the image you present and the way that you package yourself to the world.
This overlay can also indicate an artistic relationship- one in which you have a shared response to art, music and culture. You could be the Venus person’s muse or model. Your appearance might inspire a song, poem, painting or photograph. The Venus person could feel creatively inspired by your physical presence no matter what your appearance is.
The Venus person brings a harmonizing, pleasant, pleasure-seeking energy to your first house. The Venus person will encourage you to develop grace, charm and tact. This person will make you feel attractive, and encourage you to fit into their version of what it means to be attractive. It’s not a subtle or underhanded coercion as it might be with Venus in the 12th house. It can be as simple as the Venus person exclaiming, “Wow, you look beautiful!” Feeling flattered and genuinely appreciated for the way you look, you decide to do more of the same. The Venus person will inspire you to cultivate more of your first house personality traits.
Although you feel flattered and charmed by the Venus person’s attention, you may wonder if the Venus person likes you only for your looks and if there is anything deeper. You may also feel that the Venus person likes you because you make them look good.  This is an overlay that could indicate “trophy wife.”

Your Venus falls in someone’s first house

You may find the 1st house person irresistible. The first house person embodies what you find physically attractive, especially if your Venus is conjunct their ascendant. There could be an almost literal translation where you see the 1st house person as a living Venus.
You bring Venus energy and Venus expectations to the other person’s first house. You expect the first house person to be attractive in appearance, and charming, pleasing and cooperative in their behavior and attitude. You will find it hard to accept brashness and rudeness from the first house person and may be turned off if the 1st house person displays those traits. If the sign on that person’s 1st house is in conflict with their Sun sign, their looks and surface behavior might be drastically different from the person they are inside- and you may not like who they are on the inside.
You will encourage any artistic inclinations that the 1st house person has. In turn, you will feel artistically inspired by the 1st house person’s presence. Depending on which sign your Venus is in, you will encourage the traits of that sign in the other person. You might be tempted to encourage good behavior, the kind of behavior that you like (shown by your Venus sign), by rewarding that behavior with gifts and flattery.
Venus and the 1st house are both superficial so you might be overly in love with the 1st house person’s actual physical appearance. Because this can be an appearance-based attraction, though potent, there needs to be more than physical attraction to hold the relationship together. The tendency for an appearance-based relationship can be true even in friendships. Friends may band together because one likes the other’s taste in clothing, style, music and art eventually to discover that they have nothing deeper to share with one another.

SUN IN THE 8TH HOUSE

Magnetic personality??? hmnn hmnnn sounds good to me :)

http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/suninhouses.html

http://www.ofspirit.com/carmenturnerschott1.htm

Sun in the 8th House:

You have a great urge to go farther or deeper into life every step of the way. You want to experience more, and your desires are both powerful and intense. It is hard for you to find satisfaction in common experiences, and you have magnetic power if you choose to use it wisely. You are fascinated with what lies under the surface, and at some point in your life, self-improvement is a big interest. You are attracted to unexplored or taboo areas of life, and you avoid all things superficial.
Alternate Interpretation: Your feelings run deep so there is a need for attunement with your inner self. You may sometimes feel that you are destiny's plaything and will try to discover hidden parts of yourself through investigating "the mysteries" or take an interest in occult or metaphysical studies. As you increase your knowledge, you will recognize a compelling demand for constant change to promote your spiritual growth. This is often presented by material lessons to which you must adjust. In conforming, be prepared to relinquish some part of your life so that you may experience a rebirth on a higher level. -- Interpretation from the Spirit Success report.

"Everything You Wanted To Know About The Eighth House But Were Afraid To Ask"

By: Patricia Darrow, Astrologer
Yes, the eighth house, it’s the house in astrology that curls your spine and the one everyone whispers about because of it’s taboo nature. It governs "forbidden" topics such as sex, death, the occult and other people’s money! In addition, it is the most profound of all of the houses.
The eighth house represents the release from personal limitations, which means rebirth/ regeneration and even death. Being second to the seventh house, the eighth house also signifies the money or possessions of partners. It also represents extraction of essences, expenditures, mysteries, business corporations, the stock market, research, restoration, psychoanalysis, and taxes. In addition, the eighth house brings to mind transformation, reincarnation, removal, recycling, scandals and secrets.
Its corresponding sign and planet in astrology is Scorpio and the planet of Pluto. In the tarot, it correlates with the cards of Death and Judgment. In Numerology, it would correlate with the number of 22, the master builder.
The eighth house is one of the psychic trinity of water houses , part of the triangle of the soul, in conjunct with the fourth and twelfth houses. All three of them deal with the past.
In case you are wondering who would qualify for an "8th house person", I would say a Sun Sign Scorpio, someone born with a natal Sun in the 8thhouse or stellium of planets in the 8th house, someone who has natal aspects to the Sun and Pluto, one born with natal Pluto in the 1st house, and/or just having Scorpio on your 8th house cusp.
Now if you are having an 8th house person coming over for dinner, may I suggest some type of seafood perhaps prepared in a nice spicy cajun sauce. Wear a black or crimson colored slinky outfit , and have the lights dimmed with a little jazz music softly playing in the background.
If you need to buy an 8th house person a gift for some occasion, you can select a mystery or true crime novel, a book on the occult, an exotic perfume or something with a hint of musk in it, an antique, or a gift from Victoria’s Secret. For a young 8th house person, try a chemistry set or diary.
Eighth house occupations can range anywhere from a stockbroker, tax collector, repo man, psychic, detective, fire-fighter, bail bondsman, undertaker, mortician, garbage collector, insurance adjuster, antique dealer, psychologist, chemist, magician, surgeon, butcher, hypnotherapist, racketeer, pawnbroker or prostitute…just to name a few.
May I highly recommend two great books out on the subject. One is the "Gate Of Rebirth" by Haydn Paul and the other is "The Eighth House" by Marc Robertson.
In summary, this house is the height of intensity and it has it’s own brand of mystique’. Think of "still waters run deep", depths of murky waters, black velvet shrouds, intriguing little boxes, and a hint of subtle incense permeating through the air. Now may I invite you to come over for a little tea and tarot?

Oh oh really?

If you find yourself in a Neptune-Sun relationship, keep your feet on the ground or risk losing your head.  Sometimes, though, it’s worth it.

Neptune- Sun

After my first Neptune-Sun relationship ended, I became fascinated with what astrology tells us about this conjunction—to the point that I tried for the next 6 months to date nothing but men with the same birthday as the first.  Let’s just say that this conjunction in synastry can be that good.  Or…that bad.
What I discovered in looking at a variety of synastry  charts is that Neptune conjunct Sun tends to go in one of two directions:  either idealistic Shangri-la relationships or ones filled with deception, depending on which type of chart.  I wish I’d known this before my second Neptune-Sun relationship!
Neptune has such, well…NEBULOUS…energy.  It’s the planet of uncertainty, spirituality, idealism, deception, escapism, mysticism, fantasy, fogginess.  It may not seem that idealism and deception could be represented by the same planet, but there are qualities of non-reality to all of these examples.
Based on the charts I’ve reviewed and the relationships I’m aware of with this conjunction in synastry, if one person’s Sun conjuncts another’s Neptune in their natal charts, the result seems to be a “Fantasy Island” relationship.  This is the idealistic, hazy, soul mate relationship.  It can be highly spiritual.  It tends to be idealistic and somewhat surreal.  It’s definitely ungrounded.  You see each other in such an idealized, perfect way that you’re not really sure the other person is who you think or instead is a dream.  This is romance novel perfect love.  As a friend pointed out to me when I was in such a relationship, it was like being on a luxury vacation, a once-in-a-lifetime feeling—or a feeling that it can happen only once in a lifetime.
This particular brand of Neptune-Sun relationship occurred only when natal charts were compared, not in Composite or Davidson charts.  In the natal charts, we can see how each individual both projects and reacts to the other.  It’s not so much about the relationship as how the individuals relate, and there is usually some element of heavenly bliss between the two.    I’ve witnessed a few of this kind of relationship where the couple is caught up in bliss that just gets better every year, and it’s hard to believe how long they’ve been together and sustained the beautiful fantasy they live in.  It is, I think, the ultimate in romantic love.  The deception, if any, is small or either could be classified perhaps as self-deception.
The Composite and Davidson charts are more about the relationship itself, and from what I’ve seen, it’s often the ultimate in romantic deception.  The Composite chart is made up of midpoints of the plants of each individual, creating a chart of  an unreal time and place, but representing how the relationship looks to others.  The Davidson chart is based on the mid-point in birth time and place, and represents how the relationship actually is.  For this reason, I prefer the Davidson chart when I want to know what’s really going on between two people, but both charts are useful.
The most shocking case of deception I have ever experienced in a relationship personally was one where there was an almost exact Sun and Neptune conjunction in our Davidson chart while in our Composite Mid-Point method, the Sun was in exact opposition to  Neptune.  I have charted several other relationship where the positions are reversed—an opposition in the Davidson chart and a conjunction in the Composite Mid-Point chart—but there was that same odd blend of idealism and extreme deception.  Both wanted the other to be something he or she was not.  This seems to be true of all Neptune-Sun relationships I’ve studied  when these conjunctions or oppositions are found in a combined chart.
If you find yourself in a Neptune-Sun relationship, keep your feet on the ground or risk losing your head.  Sometimes, though, it’s worth it.
